The Women in Engineering program is designed for forward-thinking students who love solving unique and complex problems. The program is designed for women graduating in 2026 and beyond. This immersive experience offers a unique opportunity for participants to gain insight into the world of high-frequency trading and learn what engineers and traders do at IMC.

IMC is committed to encouraging and empowering female talent from all backgrounds to learn more about how their skills can be applied to a career in trading or engineering. If you have an academic background in Engineering, Maths, Physics, Finance, Economics, Actuarial Studies, Computer Science, or equivalent, then this 2-day program is for you.

Learning alongside like-minded women, you will discover how our advanced trading strategies, industry-leading technology, and collaborative culture make IMC one of the most ambitious tech-driven trading firms in the world.

During this 2-day immersive experience, you will:

Learn the fundamentals of trading and engineering at IMC:

  • Develop trading strategies using our custom-built trading simulation: Enhance your coding skills in our software and hardware workshops.

Learn from the best:

  • Receive mentorship throughout the program, learning from IMC traders and engineers through desk-shadowing, hands-on workshops, and networking sessions.

Immerse yourself in the IMC Culture:

  • Enjoy IMC’s Sydney office and join the team for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Get to know fellow participants and IMC staff and immerse yourself in the collaborative, challenging, and exciting environment at IMC.

  • Receive guidance on how to effectively position yourself for a future role at IMC. Everyone on the program will have the option to be fast-tracked to the first round of interviews for the 2025/26 Summer Internship Program – prior to applications opening to the general public.
